I’m Fabian, and after more than 20 years in HVAC, I’ve collected plenty of those “there has to be a better way” moments. KOVA is where we’re putting those ideas into action.
The name stands for Knowledge, Ownership, Vision, and Action. Learn what matters. Take responsibility. See what’s possible. Then get to work.
We’re hitting the road
Me and my good friend and business associate David are getting ready to hit the road, meet with HVAC companies, show what we’ve been working on, and listen to the people who would actually use it.
We want honest conversations. Those answers will help shape what we build next.
Follow our journey
This journal will be our place to share product updates, behind-the-scenes progress, lessons from the field, and the milestones along the way.
You’ll hear about UnitLink, KOVA Lead Center, and the ideas taking shape as we go. Some days we’ll have a breakthrough. Other days we’ll discover something that needs another round of work. We’ll share both.
Meet UnitLink
One of the projects we’re building under KOVA is UnitLink, our HVAC technology initiative. Drawing on years of field experience, we’re developing tools to help contractors better understand and manage the systems they service.
The UnitLink family currently includes three products in development:
- Apollo — Our indoor wireless HVAC controller, focused on local system control and safety.
- Atlas — Apollo’s wireless outdoor companion controller, connecting the indoor to the outdoor sides of the system.
- Scout — Our remote monitoring diagnostics device, focused on gathering system data and helping us understand what’s happening in the field.
We’ll introduce each one in future posts, share our testing progress, and explain where it fits into the bigger picture.
We’re starting with real problems, practical experience, and a willingness to keep improving.
